Equipment and technology in the clinic
What is actually installed at Care Dental Experts, what each machine is for, and what it does not do.
Care Dental Experts in Palakollu operates three dental chairs with individual delivery units, in-house digital radiography, a diode soft-tissue laser and chairside monitors for showing patients their own images. Equipment does not treat teeth on its own, but it changes what can be diagnosed, how precisely work can be planned, and how much of the procedure you can see for yourself.
What is installed here
Digital radiography
Intraoral digital X-ray with the image on screen in seconds, at a lower dose than film. Used for caries between teeth, root canal working length, bone levels around teeth, and assessing bone before implant placement.
Diode soft-tissue laser
Used for gum contouring, frenectomy, ulcer treatment, gum depigmentation and disinfecting root canal spaces. Reduces bleeding during soft-tissue work and often removes the need for sutures. What laser dentistry can and cannot do.
Chairside monitors
Each operatory has a screen. Your X-ray, and where relevant an intraoral camera image, goes up on it. If a dentist cannot show you the problem, be sceptical of the treatment plan.
Implant surgical setup
Dedicated physiodispenser and implant surgical kit, with guided planning where the case calls for it. Implant brand and batch details are recorded and given to you.
Ultrasonic scaler
For scaling and root planing. Removes hardened calculus that a brush cannot reach. Scaling does not loosen teeth, the myth is addressed here.
Autoclave and sterilisation cycle

What technology does not do
A laser does not make a badly planned gum surgery good. Guided implant planning does not rescue a case that needed bone grafting first. A digital X-ray shows the same tooth a film X-ray showed. It just shows it faster and with less radiation.
Judge a clinic on the diagnosis and the plan. The equipment list should be a footnote to that, not the headline.
Common questions
Is a dental X-ray safe?
A single digital dental X-ray delivers a very small radiation dose, far lower than film X-rays used to, and a fraction of the background radiation you absorb naturally over a normal week. We still use a lead apron and thyroid collar, and we only take the images that will change a decision. Tell us if you are pregnant or think you might be.
Does the laser mean no injection?
Sometimes, for small soft-tissue procedures. Often, no. A diode laser reduces bleeding and can reduce the need for stitches in gum work, and many patients need less anaesthetic than they would for the same procedure with a blade. It does not make every treatment injection-free, and any clinic promising that is overselling.
Which implant system do you use?
[confirm]. Ask us before treatment. You are entitled to know the brand and model of the implant placed in your jaw, and you should be given that in writing, because a future dentist anywhere in the world may need it to service the implant.
